Course
Gingival recession is a common clinical challenge that can lead to root sensitivity, aesthetic issues, and compromised periodontal health. Various surgical techniques, including Free Gingival Grafts (FGG) and Connective Tissue Grafts (CTG), have been developed for root coverage and augmentation of keratinized tissue. This activity will discuss the classification of gingival recession, compare different grafting techniques, and analyze their long-term clinical outcomes. Additionally, the importance of soft tissue around dental implants, including keratinized tissue, will be examined. Participants will gain insights into the role of soft tissue in implant success, techniques available to enhance peri-implant health, and the impact of grafting on long-term implant outcomes. They will also learn about bone grafting techniques and Osseodensification (OD), an intriguing recent technique that enhances bone density around dental implants, increasing primary stability and success.
