v The alveolar ridge undergoes accelerated bone loss within the first 6 months following tooth extraction, which will result in bone loss in all dimensions. There have been a number of proposed systems to classify bone defects and the corresponding treatment strategies with different types of bone grafting techniques. Also, there has been different techniques for wound closure and proper suturing that will help in profound healing and higher success rate. These points will be discussed in details in a form of lecture and hands-on workshop.
