Workshop
The alveolar ridge undergoes accelerated bone loss within the first 6 months following tooth extraction, which will result in bone loss in all dimensions. There have been a number of proposed systems to classify bone defects and the corresponding treatment strategies with different types of bone grafting techniques. Additionally, various techniques for wound closure and proper suturing have been developed to facilitate profound healing and a higher success rate. These points will be discussed in detail in the form of a lecture and a hands-on workshop.
