Workshop
The periodontal phenotype plays a decisive role in the long-term stability, esthetics, and predictability of both periodontal and restorative treatment outcomes. This presentation explores contemporary approaches to modifying a thin or deficient periodontal phenotype through the combined use of corticotomy procedures and guided bone/tissue regeneration techniques. Emphasis will be placed on the biological rationale, surgical protocols, indications, and clinical decision-making required to achieve stable soft and hard tissue augmentation. Case-based evidence will illustrate how integrating corticotomies with regenerative biomaterials can enhance bone volume, gingival thickness, and overall periodontal resilience, ultimately supporting more predictable functional and esthetic results.
